Laser Cutting Machine Shipping and Delivery

Last updated: July 22, 2026

This laser cutting machine shipping guide explains how TengWen Laser handles export packing, transport, delivery preparation, unloading, and arrival inspection.

Shipping arrangements vary by machine size, configuration, destination, and agreed delivery terms. Therefore, the final shipping scope will always follow the formal quotation, proforma invoice, or sales contract.

1. Shipping Scope

The shipping arrangement depends on several factors, including:

  • Machine type and working area
  • Open or enclosed machine structure
  • Optional equipment and automation systems
  • Destination country or region
  • Selected shipping method
  • Agreed Incoterm
  • Installation and service scope

The quotation or contract will confirm what TengWen Laser supplies and what the customer must arrange.

Unless stated otherwise, the standard scope may not include local customs clearance, import duties, destination charges, unloading, or inland transport.

2. Export Packing

We select the packing method according to the machine structure and shipping route.

Export packing may include:

  • Protection for the machine body
  • Wrapping for exposed surfaces
  • Separate packing for accessories
  • Protection for sensitive components
  • Labels for package identification
  • Container-loading preparation

Large machines may require separate packing for machine sections, accessories, laser components, or auxiliary equipment.

The exact packing method may vary because different machines have different dimensions and transport requirements.

3. Shipping Methods and Schedule

Depending on the destination, we may arrange shipment by:

  • Sea freight
  • Land transport
  • Multimodal transport
  • Express delivery for small parts and accessories

The estimated shipping date depends on machine production, technical confirmation, payment progress, logistics booking, and export documentation.

However, transport schedules may change because of:

  • Port congestion
  • Carrier schedule changes
  • Customs inspection
  • Weather conditions
  • Route disruption
  • Government restrictions

Any delivery date provided before order confirmation is an estimate unless we confirm it as a fixed date in writing.

4. Preparation Before Delivery

Before the machine arrives, the customer should prepare the installation and unloading conditions.

Preparation may include:

  • Suitable power supply and voltage
  • Reliable grounding
  • Compressed air
  • Required cutting gas
  • Workshop space
  • Ventilation
  • Safe unloading access
  • Forklift, crane, or lifting equipment
  • Local transport from the delivery point
  • Network access when required

Early preparation helps prevent delays during unloading, installation, and commissioning.

Therefore, customers should review the technical and site requirements before shipment.

5. Customs, Local Transport, and Unloading

Unless the quotation or contract states otherwise, the customer is responsible for destination-side arrangements.

These arrangements may include:

  • Import customs clearance
  • Import duties and taxes
  • Port or terminal charges
  • Warehousing
  • Local trucking
  • Unloading labor
  • Forklift or crane rental
  • Transport from the unloading point to the workshop

The customer should confirm that the unloading route and workshop entrance can accommodate the machine dimensions.

In addition, the unloading area must be safe and accessible.

If suitable unloading equipment is unavailable, the delivery or installation schedule may be delayed.

6. Inspection After Arrival

The customer should inspect the shipment as soon as it arrives.

Please check:

  • External packing condition
  • Package quantity
  • Shipping labels
  • Visible transport damage
  • Machine body condition
  • Accessories and major components

If you find damage, missing packages, or abnormal packing, take clear photos and videos before moving or unpacking the goods.

You should also record the issue on the carrier’s delivery document when possible.

Then, contact TengWen Laser promptly and provide:

  • Order or machine information
  • Photos and videos
  • Packing details
  • Damage or shortage description
  • Carrier documentation

Early reporting helps us review the issue and coordinate the next step.

7. Installation and Commissioning

Machine delivery and machine installation are separate stages.

Installation support may include:

  • Remote guidance
  • Video support
  • On-site installation
  • Machine commissioning
  • Operator training
  • Basic cutting-process guidance

The actual service scope will follow the quotation or sales contract.

Before installation begins, the machine must be unloaded and placed in a suitable position. In addition, the workshop utilities must be ready.

Incomplete power, gas, grounding, ventilation, or safety conditions may delay commissioning.

For more details, please refer to our Installation and Training page.

8. Spare-Parts Shipping

Spare parts, consumables, and service components may ship separately from the machine.

The shipping method depends on:

  • Part size and weight
  • Stock availability
  • Delivery urgency
  • Destination
  • Customs requirements

To avoid compatibility errors, please provide:

  • Machine model
  • Serial number
  • Part name or description
  • Clear part photos
  • Fault information when applicable

After we confirm compatibility, we will provide the available shipping method and estimated delivery time.

9. Delivery Delays

We aim to coordinate each shipment efficiently. However, some delays remain outside our reasonable control.

Possible causes include:

  • Supplier delays
  • Transport interruption
  • Port congestion
  • Customs inspection
  • Export or import restrictions
  • Severe weather
  • Labor disruption
  • Infrastructure failure
  • Other force majeure events

When a delay occurs, we will share available information and update the estimated schedule.

However, TengWen Laser cannot guarantee carrier, port, customs, or government processing times.
